The 22nd National University Track and Field Championship was held from July 15 to 20 in Nanping, Fujian. Under the leadership of team leader Liu Zhongqing and coaches Huang Mei and Huang Zunbing, GXU's track and field team delivered remarkable performances. Gu Qianming, Liu Ziling, Miao Kexi, and Xia Shanshan secured fourth place in the Women's Group D 4x400m relay. Wang Junjie placed fifth in the Men's Group D 200m event, while Qin Haoxiang, Wang Junjie, Chen Wenlin, and Zeng Yuanyou achieved sixth place in the Men's Group D 4x100m relay. Additionally, Zhu Fanchi, Gu Qianming, Miao Kexi, and Xia Shanshan earned eighth place in the Women's Group D 4x100m relay.

In the Men's Group D 200m preliminaries, Wang Junjie, a 2021 undergraduate from our university, met the national athlete standard with an excellent time of 20.96 seconds, setting a new record for Guangxi university students in the 200m event. His time also surpassed the Guangxi adult 200m record of 21.02 seconds. In the Men's Group D 100m event, Zeng Yuanyou, a 2022 undergraduate, achieved the national athlete standard with a time of 10.46 seconds, setting a new record for Guangxi university students in the 100m event.

This competition, co-hosted by the China University Sports Association, the Chinese Athletic Association, and the Nanping Municipal Government, attracted 5,285 athletes from 438 universities nationwide.
